I’M SICK OF THIS‼️
Mark 2:1–12 📖
There was a man who was paralyzed, and he had four friends who were determined to get him to Jesus. The house was packed. There was no way in through the door. But they were so desperate to see him changed that they carried him to the roof, tore it open, and lowered him down right in front of Jesus.
They didn’t let the crowd stop them. They didn’t let the inconvenience stop them. They didn’t let “this is how it’s always been” stop them.
And Jesus didn’t just address the man’s condition — He addressed what was happening on the inside. Before He told him to rise, take up his bed and walk, Jesus dealt with his sins.
Sometimes the cry of the believer has to be, “Lord, I’m sick of this.”📢
Sick of going in circles.
Sick of making excuses.
Sick of holding onto the same thing God has been telling me to release.
Sick of practicing something for so long that my conscience isn’t even sensitive to it anymore.
Because if we practice something long enough without repentance, eventually we can become comfortable with what God is calling us to confront. And when conviction gets quiet, we can start defending what needs to be delivered.
But the prayer of a believer should still be:
“Lord, if there is something in me that is not like You, show me. Deal with me. Clean me. Change me.”
Maybe it’s time to stop defending it and start surrendering it.
The same Jesus who told that man, “Arise, take up thy bed, and walk,” is still able to bring healing, forgiveness, freedom, and transformation.
Don’t miss what God wants to do in you. And don’t let the crowd, the circumstance, or your comfort keep you from Jesus.
