πŸŽ’πŸ“š Back-to-School Blessings! πŸ“šπŸŽ’

As another school year approaches, let us remember that every new beginning is an opportunity for growth, learning, and discovering the unique gifts God has placed within each child.

Whether your child is stepping into a classroom for the very first time or preparing for another exciting year, we pray that they are surrounded by God's protection, filled with confidence, and encouraged by loving teachers, family, and friends. May this school year be one of wisdom, kindness, perseverance, and joy.

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." β€” Proverbs 16:3

We invite our Fort McKinley family and the surrounding community to join us for a Back-to-School Event this weekend. On Saturday, August 8, Dayton Public Schools is hosting an event that will include food, haircuts, etc.
For event details, including the time, location, and available resources, please visit the link below:

We also hope you will join us on Sunday, August 9, for worship at 10:30 a.m. After the service, we will enjoy a carry-in fellowship meal, bless local families through our school supplies giveaway, and take time to celebrate Pastor Karl's birthday, thanking God for his faithful leadership and the many ways He continues to use him to serve and shepherd our congregation.

This upcoming weekend will be a wonderful opportunity to prepare for the new school year, connect with neighbors, celebrate our students as they begin this new chapter, and enjoy fellowship with our church family.

As a church family, let us continue to encourage one another, invest in our children, celebrate God's blessings, and pray that this new school year will be filled with wisdom, growth, protection, and His abundant grace.

❀️ Take care and God bless! We look forward to seeing you this weekend and you are always welcome at Fort McKinley Church.

Hello, Fort McKinley Family & Friends!

As our community experiences this week's extreme heat, we encourage everyone to take extra precautions to stay safe. Please remember to drink plenty of water, limit your time outdoors when possible, and seek air-conditioned spaces if you need relief from the heat.

We also ask that you take a few moments to check on one another, especially our seniors, neighbors, those living alone, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the high temperatures. A simple phone call, text message, or visit can be a wonderful expression of Christ's love and may make all the difference to someone who needs encouragement or assistance.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." β€” Galatians 6:2

Below is information regarding local cooling centers throughout the area. If you or someone you know needs a safe place to cool down, we encourage you to take advantage of these community resources.

Please stay safe, stay hydrated, and continue to keep one another in your prayers. May God watch over you and your families during this time.

With love,
Fort McKinley Church

Fort McKinley Family & Friends:

As we are now in the summer months, many families are balancing the joy of having children home from school with the challenge of stretching household budgets a little further. With the rising cost of groceries and other daily expenses, we understand that providing meals throughout the day can sometimes place an added burden on families.

As a church family, we believe that caring for one another is part of living out God's love. We never want anyone in our community to feel alone when help is available.

We are excited to host our Mobile Food Pantry this Wednesday (Wednesday, June 24), from 12:00–1:30 p.m. right here at Fort McKinley! πŸ₯”πŸžπŸŽ

This is more than just food. It is an opportunity to serve, connect, and share God’s love with our neighbors thanks to our partnership with God's Grace Mobile Food Pantry. ❀️

If you are volunteering, please arrive by 11:30 a.m. so we can prepare together and be ready to welcome our community with open arms.

Come be part of this powerful ministry! Whether you are receiving food or lending a hand, you belong here. Let’s show what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ! Spread the word!πŸ™

Happy Juneteenth!

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, the day on June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

As Christians, Juneteenth reminds us of God's heart for freedom, justice, and the dignity of every person. Scripture teaches that all people are created in the image of God and are deeply loved by Him.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." β€” Galatians 5:1

While Juneteenth celebrates a significant moment in our nation's history, it also invites us to reflect on God's call to love one another, pursue justice, extend grace, and work toward unity as the body of Christ.

Today, we give thanks for the progress that has been made, honor the resilience and faith of those who endured injustice, and pray that we may continue to reflect Christ's love in our communities.

Happy Juneteenth from all of us at Fort McKinley Church. May we walk together in faith, freedom, hope, and love. πŸ™β€οΈ

Fort McKinley Family & Friends:

As we enter the summer months, many families are balancing the joy of having children home from school with the challenge of stretching household budgets a little further. With the rising cost of groceries and other daily expenses, we understand that providing meals throughout the day can sometimes place an added burden on families.

As a church family, we believe that caring for one another is part of living out God's love. We never want anyone in our community to feel alone when help is available.

Through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and sponsorship with Trotwood-Madison City Schools, Madison Park Elementary School in Trotwood is offering free breakfast and lunch for children today from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

If this resource could benefit your family or someone you know, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. There is no shame in receiving support. We all need a helping hand from time to time, and God often provides through the care and generosity of others.

"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." β€” Philippians 4:19

Calling all men who desire to strengthen, lead, and pour into their families with courage, love, wisdom, and faith.

Join us for the First Annual Family Shepherd Workshop at The New Fort McKinley Church. This is a powerful opportunity for men to grow spiritually, encourage one another, and embrace the God-given calling of leading their homes with integrity and compassion.

In a time when strong, faithful leadership is needed more than ever, we invite you to come be refreshed, empowered, and connected through meaningful conversation, fellowship, food, and fun.

Bring a friend, a brother, a son, or another man who could benefit from this experience. Together, let us continue building stronger families, stronger men, and a stronger community through the love and guidance of God.

We look forward to seeing you there!
