This morning, R House Ministries has the privilege of joining community partners from across the Dayton area at a resource gathering hosted by the The Salvation Army Kroc Center.

As I reflected on today’s devotional, “Build the City,” Proverbs 11:11 stood out:

“Good people bless and build up their city…”

At R House Ministries, we are grateful to be part of a network that chooses to build up rather than tear down, to serve rather than compete, and to invest in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors. Every connection made, every partnership formed, and every resource shared helps create a stronger community for the women and families we serve.

Thank you to the Kroc Center for hosting such a meaningful gathering and for bringing together those who are committed to making a difference in Dayton.

Together, we are building the city. 💕🌱

Well done to the HT Task Force and all those involved in protecting vulnerable women in our community. These individuals were preying on those already facing hardship and exploitation. I’m especially thankful to see an emphasis on connecting survivors with social service organizations and ongoing support. It is not enough to simply confront the darkness — we must also be willing to be the light by offering hope, safety, healing, and restoration.

Today we said farewell to our case manager, Anna Tober at R House Ministries. She was instrumental in helping establish what it looks like to truly resource and support women at the Day Center. With compassion, consistency, advocacy, and prayer, she has walked alongside hundreds of women in some of their hardest moments.

We pray blessings over her next season and are grateful for the legacy she leaves at R House 🎀

R House Ministries is currently in need of new dining sets for our Day Center! Every week, women gather around these tables for meals, Bible studies, conversation, healing, and community. We want to create a warm and beautiful space where every woman feels valued and welcomed.

R House Ministries had the honor of hosting 6 young men and women from Italy, Norway, and Germany. They flew across the world with one purpose: to minister in America. To pray. To worship. To support. To serve.

And tonight, that’s exactly what we did together. In the rain, we served over 100 meals to our neighbors in North Dayton.

Because when people are hungry, the rain doesn’t stop them. Not physical hunger. Not spiritual hunger either.

The hungry still come searching for hope. And the spiritually hungry still go searching for people who need Jesus.

So we stood in the rain together — different nations, one Gospel. Serving hot meals, offering prayer, sharing kindness, and reminding people they are seen and loved by God.

The mission field is not always overseas. It is also right here in Dayton, Ohio. And tonight, Heaven touched earth on a rainy street corner. 🎀
