Exciting things are happening at St. Joseph Church! A section of pews have been removed and scaffolding built to begin the installation of the new pipe organ.

We are looking to collection a group of volunteers who can assist on a recurring basis with moving parts/pipes from the organ shop at Holy Trinity School (across from Bainbridge Hall) to St. Joseph. It requires us to load a U-Haul at the shop, then unload the parts at St. Joseph and stage them across a section of pews. If you are interested in being added to this group of volunteers, please call the parish office at 937-228-9272 and leave your name and cell phone number. As we require assistance, we will text the volunteer group with date/time and details.

Our goal is to begin moving parts this Sunday, October 26, after the 10:30 Mass. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your prayerful consideration!

✨ Highlights from the Red Mass at St. Joseph Church ✨

It was an honor for the St. Gaspar Family of Parishes to host this special liturgy, celebrated with Archbishop Robert Casey, Deacon Mike Prier, Deacon Rusty Baldwin, Fr. Tony Fortman (our Pastor), Fr. Seraphine Lesiriam, and Fr. Angelo Anthony.

The Dayton Catholic Lawyers Guild, established in 2024, gathered with the faithful to continue this beautiful tradition that unites faith and profession. The Guild is a community of Catholic legal professionals across the Greater Dayton area — from law students to seasoned judges — dedicated to serving with integrity, wisdom, and faith.

The Red Mass, begun in 1243 by Pope Innocent IV, invokes the Holy Spirit’s guidance of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and fortitude for all who serve in the legal profession. The red vestments remind us of the Spirit’s fire and the sacrifice of martyrs. St. Thomas More, patron of lawyers, inspires us to pursue justice with courage and faith.
