Shalom,
May the peace and comfort of God the Father be with us Rwandans during this 31st Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
My family and I, together with the wider family of AWM/ZTCC, stand in solidarity with Rwandans wherever they are, as we remember our loved ones who were taken from us.
On this 31st time, may God continue to strengthen the hearts of all Rwandans. We especially extend our compassion to orphans, widows, and all those who lost their loved ones.
May the Lord comfort the brokenhearted and those who are weary during this season. I pray that your strength may come from the Lord. Receive comfort that comes from God.
To you who were wounded, who carry the pain of what you went through, to you who live with a disability, or with scars that constantly remind you of what you went through — may the Lord strengthen you and help you reach a place where you can also comfort others who are going through tough times.
“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
— 2 Corinthians 1:2-4 (NIV)
Know that God will turn all of this into something good — a powerful testimony that will bless many.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
— Romans 8:28 (NIV)
Remember that you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
— Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
May the Lord renew your strength, for your Creator knows you and says: Live. Be strong. Receive the true hope of your future.
“Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, ‘Live!’ Yes, I said to you as you lay in your blood, ‘Live!’”
— Ezekiel 16:6 (NIV)
Keep your eyes fixed on your God. Strive to rebuild yourself and pursue growth — your future is full of hope.
Let unity, reconciliation, and love be the foundation of your life’s purpose.
Be strong, and continue rebuilding.
