Registration is open for this year’s Confirmation preparation program.
Confirmation is a powerful step in a young person's faith journey. It is not just a graduation from religious education, but a personal choosing of the faith and a strengthening of the Holy Spirit.
Who is it for? We welcome all teens in 9th Grade
Older Teens: If your teen missed the traditional age for Confirmation due to busy schedules, sports, or just needing more time—they are incredibly welcome here. We offer a flexible, supportive path tailored for older high school students so they feel comfortable and engaged among peers.

Today is the Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time. “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” God the Father, the source of all wisdom, laid the foundation of our faith through the humble profession of the Apostle Peter. Let us praise God, who enlightens all people with the Holy Spirit, so that they may recognize Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of the living God and become living stones in the building up of His Church.

Feast of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle: he is believed to have been the same as Nathanael, born in Cana of Galilee, and brought by Philip to Christ Jesus at the Jordan. Afterwards the Lord called him to follow him, and included him among the Twelve. After the Ascension of the Lord it is recorded that he preached the Gospel in India, and was there crowned with martyrdom.

INVITATION: BISHOP BOYEA'S ANNUAL DISCERNMENT DINNER | AUGUST 16, 2026: Do you think that God may be calling you to the Sacred Priesthood? If so, Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing invites you to join him at his annual dinner for young men discerning the priesthood.

The event is on Sunday, August 16, 2026, and will consist of an informative talk on discerning the priesthood and what seminary formation is about, followed by a Q & A session with priests and seminarians and a BBQ dinner. Check-in will start at 4:00 PM at Saint Francis Retreat Center in DeWitt, and dismissal will be at 6:30 pm.
