We are pleased to announce the election of the Rev. Yehiel Curry as presiding bishop of the ELCA! Bishop-elect Curry was elected on the fifth ballot with 70.34% of the vote.

Ever-living God, strengthen and sustain Bishop-elect Curry, that with patience and understanding he may love and care for your people. Grant that together we may follow in the way of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Please join us Sunday, July 20th for our annual outdoor worship and picnic. We will hold the event at the Knights of Columbus Field in Thomas. Worship will begin at 11:00 and the picnic will follow. Please bring a dish to share. Hamburgers and hotdogs and drinks will be provided.

Spiritual Direction

As defined in a brochure from the Southeastern Synod of the ELCA, spiritual direction is the work that an individual does with another person or group which helps that person experience, discern and trust what God/Jesus/Spirit is doing in her or his current life.

Interested? You are invited to join the monthly Zoom Group with Spiritual Direction focus. We will resume Monday, September 16, AT 7 pm, using Joyce Rupp’s Boundless Compassion. Each week we discuss a chapter and share God’s presence in our lives and in the world.
