Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Lake Norman (UUFLKN) An open, inclusive, and liberal multi-faith community. We meet every Sunday at 3 pm.

We are a young and vibrant fellowship that is building a liberal place for spiritual growth that is open and inclusive and responsive to the wisdom of the world. We offer a sanctuary, a religious community where you can be at ease going about a life of pilgrimage—discovering, affirming, and celebrating. We offer a place you can conduct a free and responsible search for truth and meaning. The easiest way to stay up to date is to sign up for our newsletter by emailing [email protected]

Mary Helen Hensley, famous internationally for teachings from her near death experience and a lifetime of spiritual experiences, will be our guest speaker Sunday at 3 at 625 South Street in Davidson. Since it is a big travel day for many, there will likely be plenty of seats, but get there early anyway. What an extraordinary opportunity. Do like Sue Friday and bring a friend.

I am proud to join with over 100 faith leaders denouncing political violence and condemning attacks on free speech and the independence of our country's nonprofit organizations. Unitarian Universalist religious tradition upholds values of pluralism and justice and encourages free speech and open discussion from people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

I join with other people of faith and conscience in calling on all political leaders, including the President and his administration, to unequivocally support freedom of speech and religious liberty, and to ensure that the government does not target individuals and nonprofits for exercising that freedom.

We the people are the democracy; it lives in our commitments to one another, and we make this powerful idea real only when we can live our values fully and without fear of violence or retaliation.

Sunday's service urges noticing the beauty. From John Keats to William Blake, we will hear this advice. Notice the beauty. 3 p.m. at the Quaker Meeting House, 625 South Street, Davidson, NC. Come early and get a good seat. We used the water from your ceremony Sunday to nourish the giant oak in the front yard. A young woman who was a first time visitor did the honors.

Not sure of how many of our folks look here, but we're having water communion on Sept. 21. For those unfamiliar, the ceremony combines water from members who combine the water and tell stories from summer travels or maybe their own homes. The combined water feeds a favorite tree in the yard of the Quaker meeting house. Love to all.
