Did you know that Davidson UMC is home to two officially recognized Davidson Treasure Trees? 🌳

Located on our campus, Treasure Tree #100, a majestic Silver Maple, and Treasure Tree #101, a beautiful Southern Magnolia, stand as reminders of the beauty and responsibility of caring for God’s creation.

At Davidson UMC, we believe creation care is an important part of our faith. As stewards of God’s “very good” creation, we are called to care for the world God has entrusted to us through intentional acts of love, justice, and responsibility for future generations.

We give thanks for the gift of creation and for opportunities to live out our faith by caring for the world around us.

Please join us in praying for our youth and leaders as they serve this week in Western North Carolina on their Disaster Relief Mission Trip.

As they spend the week helping communities continue to recover and rebuild, pray for safe travels, servant hearts, meaningful connections, and that God would work through them in powerful ways.

We are grateful for the ways they are being the hands and feet of Christ.

This Sunday, Rev. Dr. Preston Davis reminded us through Epistle to the Hebrews that life can feel overwhelming, but we are never running alone. Surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses and covered by God’s grace, we are called to fix our eyes on Jesus and run the race with endurance.

What an incredible kickoff to VBS 2026 at Davidson UMC!

Today, our halls were filled with laughter, worship, learning, and so much excitement as kids began their Rainforest Falls adventure together. From hands-on activities to meaningful moments growing in faith, it was a beautiful reminder of the joy found in learning about God’s love.

We are so thankful for everyone who helped make Day 1 so special, and we can’t wait to see all that God has in store for the rest of this amazing week.

It’s already been an unforgettable start, and we’re just getting started.

In a world constantly searching for security, certainty, and control, Rev. Meredith Hinton reminded us that true peace is not something we find after life gets easier. Through Romans 5, we are reminded that peace is not the destination. It is where faith begins. Even when life feels uncertain, God’s presence goes before us, holding us steady and reminding us that we never walk alone. Because of Christ, peace is already available to us right where we are.
