Today’s Devotional Reading:
Genesis 1:26-31 & John 1:1-14
Yesterday Pastor Anthony introduced SOAP as a devotional journaling method. Here is the main idea in case you didn’t grab a resource on the way out.

S — Scripture
Read from the Old and New Testaments.
Choose one or two verses that grip your heart and write them word for word.
Let the Word speak before you do.

O — Observation
Look closer.
Who’s speaking? What’s happening? What does this reveal about His heart?
Write what stands out — even if it begins with, “This makes me think…”

A — Application
This is where truth becomes transformation.
Ask, “What is God asking of me today?”
Application isn’t guilt; it’s agreement.
It’s saying, “You can have this space too, Lord.”

P — Prayer
Pray through what you’ve written.
Thank Him, talk about what stirred, and write your prayer.
One day you’ll look back and see how He answered.
