Shabbat is the perfect time to disconnect & recharge your soul.

Call for submissions! Please send in a video of yourself giving a drash, showing how to do a blessing, reading or singing a prayer, reading a psalm, etc. to [email protected]

We want to feature you on our page! If you need info on how to record a video, email us at the above email as well.

Stumped as to what you could do? Here are some ideas:
1. Show us how to recite or sing a prayer (any one from Shachrit, Minchah, Maariv)
2. Read a Pslam for us
3. Sing a niggun
4. Show how to put on tefillin
5. Show how to light Shabbat candles and say the blessing
6. Show how to say kiddush (short or long)
7. Show how to say blessing over challah
8. Show how to put up a mezuzah
9. Show how to put on a tallit according to your custom
10. Give a drash on a Torah portion--it could even be the one from your bar/bat mitzvah
11. Sing your favorite Shabbat song
12. Show us a short Jewish recipe (prepare ingredients before)
13. If you're in Sisterhood and can do this, show us around the gift shop on video.
14. Tell us why you're a member of the Center
15. Tell us about your family history and where your family is from
16. Tell us your favorite Center memory
17. Talk about a concept in Judaism which is important to you (ex. Tzedakah, loving-kindness, study, etc.)
18. Talk about why you observe a certain mitzvot (like Shabbat, etc)
19. Tell us about your favorite holiday and why
20. Talk about the upcoming Tisha B'Av or even further to High Holidays
21. Tell us about a Jewish book you've recently read
22. Show us how we would know you were Jewish upon walking into your home (ex. mezuzah, jewish books, judaica, kosher, etc.)
23. Tell us a story about a piece of judaica handed down in your family
24. Show us your kippot collection
25. Tell us something new you've recently learned about Judaism
26. Give a talk on something you are interested in that relates to Judaism
27. Read the weeks parsha in English or Hebrew
28. Read the haftorah for the week in English or Hebrew
29. Show us how to bless your children

And on and on and on. The sky is the limit. Stay away from profanity please, and understand that the Center has final say on what will be posted!
