Woman's Shoe size needed for house fire victim is a size "eight"!

FAMILY NEEDS OUR HELP!
A couple lost their house and all contents due to a house fire. Clothing is an urgent need!

Women’s: Dress shirts (large), pants (size 12), shoes (size 8) and a large – Xlarge jacket.

Men’s: Pants(38-32), shirts (Xlarge, tall), shoes (size 11W). He is a logger and also needs work boots that are in good condition and a work jacket.

Donations can be dropped off at the Uknown Soldier Post of the American Legion, located at 1859 Blount Crossing, Darien, GA from 4pm – closing, Wed. – Sat.

Mission Activities:

• Supporting the Golden Isles Veterans Village, Brunswick, GA
• Scholarship program supporting our local youth
• Flag Placing (Memorial Day)
• Flag Retirement Ceremony (Flag Day)
• Veteran Yard Sign Project

Eligibility for Legionnaire Status:

• Veterans/Active Duty
• DD214 (available on National Archives Website https:/www.archives.gov eVetsRecs tool) showing an Honorable Discharge or Discharge under Honorable conditions
• Annual Membership dues: $40. We are a non-profit organization

Supporting Roles:

• Auxillary – Spouse, daughter, grandmother, sister of a Legionnaire member
• Sons of the American Legion – Males whose parents/grandparents served in US Military and were eligible for American Legion membership

It's Festival Time! An opportunity to help subsidize our Scholarship Fund! One of the Five Pillars of the American Legion.

Raffle tickets are now on sale. 1st Prize: $500 Palmetto State Armory gift card. 2nd Prize: A Nine Line Bullet Decanter set.

Donation: $5 each/5 for $20.

Drawing to be held on November 1st @ 4 PM at the Darien Fall Festival.
