Today's bright blue sky offered the perfect backdrop to witness our 14 historic bells being carefully lifted from the cavity of Saint Luke's steeple and secured for their journey to the midwest to be fully refurbished. These bells have marked worship, celebrations, and memories for generations - and they will return renewed and ready to ring for generations to come. Safe travels, old friends - we can't wait to hear you again!

Congratulations to all today's candidates for Confirmation and Reception, and thanks to The Rt. Rev. Jeffrey W. Mello, the clergy, volunteers, and parents who supported their faith journeys. On this day, the Day of Pentecost, the Spirit is poured out, opening the way of life to every people and every place. The breath of God fills the church, sending us out to proclaim, to serve, and to love in ways that renew the world. We pray that this gift would be kindled in us again, that we may share in the life of the Holy Spirit and bear it to the ends of the earth.

This Sunday, we celebrate the Day of Pentecost. Wear red to church and join us for our annual parish-wide picnic after 10am worship with activities for children, delicious food, and sweet treats! Given the forecast, we’ll be in the Parish Hall. See you on Sunday!
