When our parish was founded, this was a rural area, which benefited from strong societal and cultural supports for the Catholic faith at that point in history. Through the early part of the twentieth century the parish experienced some modest growth in this supportive environment and built a church, a school, and a convent. th, became suburbanized, and significantly expanded its facilities to meet needs of the growing population. Now as we enter the second decade of this new century, any continued population growth will be quite modest.
