SETTLED. ❤️🙌

What a way to close out our SETTLED: Giving Jesus the Final Word series this Sunday!

Over these past few weeks, we’ve been reminded that surrender isn’t just a decision we make once — it’s a choice we make every single day.

This week’s message, “Settled Once, Surrendered Daily,” challenged us with such a powerful picture:
We are called to be a living sacrifice… and the thing about a living sacrifice is that sometimes we crawl right back off the altar.

So tomorrow morning — and every morning after — we choose again.

🙏 The Deed: My life belongs to Him.
❤️ The Key: My heart belongs to Him.
📅 The Calendar & Wallet: My time and resources belong to Him.
🔥 The Furnace: I will obey Him even when it costs me and I don’t know the outcome.

The series may be finished, but the surrender isn’t.

Settled once. Surrendered daily. Jesus gets the final word. 🙌

78 years ago today, on August 30, 1948, the Church of God General Assembly in Birmingham, Alabama adopted the Declaration of Faith.

It remains our official expression of doctrine.

We believe:

1 In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
2 In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
3 That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
4 That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
5 That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
6 In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
7 Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.
8 In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
9 In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.
10 In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
11 Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
12 In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet.
13 In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
14 In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

This we believe.

💫Spotlight on Our Volunteers💫

This week, we take time to honor Nicole Danielle Rowland Gibson, our Children's Ministry Director and Women's Ministry Council. Nicole is dedicated to ensuring the children at Central Boulevard are taught about our Lord and Savior, showing them how our life is a demonstration of His love, mercy, and guidance.
She teaches them the importance of worship, helps them build a personal relationship with the Lord, and helps shape their hearts to follow a Christ led path. ✝️
Nicole plants seeds in young hearts that through the years are nurtured, rooted, and grown into amazing, dedicated, souls for the Lord.
Nicole also helps select and assist in promoting events, Bible studies, dinners, and all the elements that make our Women's Ministry successful.
Thank you Nicole for your dedication; you are a true blessing to Central Boulevard! ❤️

What a wonderful journey it has been! We’ve laughed, learned, grown, and been encouraged together in God’s Word all summer long. We are so thankful for EVERY woman who has joined us!

If you’ve never been able to join us, we would LOVE to have you for our last evening together.

Let’s end this series out strong as we worship, dig into God’s Word, and encourage one another!

🎤🎶 Move over choir… the kids are taking over! 🥰🙌

We LOVE our 5th Sundays at Central Boulevard! ❤️ Every 5th Sunday, our children come down and join us for service—and today they brought a little extra joy with them!

There’s nothing quite like seeing these sweet faces singing, worshiping, and learning that church isn’t just a place they come to… it’s a place they belong. ❤️

We might be a little biased, but we think they did pretty great! 👏🎶

Ever been invited to a wedding and you have to RSVP? Before you know it the wedding date is here and you forgot. You figure I’ll just go and surely, they’ll let me in. After all, I was invited. So, you clean yourself up and put on your best clothes. You look in the mirror and think, I look so good, there’s no way I’m not getting in. The wedding is at a beautiful gated private estate. You can’t wait to see what’s on the inside. This is going to be a special night and it cost you nothing. Then, there’s a problem. At the gate, they ask your name and tell you that you’re not on the list. You tell them, but I was invited. No matter how much you argue, they send you away, telling you that it was your responsibility to accept the invitation.

….That’s Heaven. God wants you there. He sent you the invitation. All you have to do is accept it. Not after you clean yourself up. Not when you “look” presentable, the way you think you’re expected to look. No, you have to accept before it’s too late. Otherwise, you’re not getting in. Don’t wait until it’s too late to respond.

Week 3 of SETTLED 🙌⛪️

There’s a difference between saying you trust God and being settled enough to trust Him when you don’t know what comes next.

This morning was another powerful reminder that our circumstances may change, our emotions may change, and life may not always look the way we thought it would — but God does not change.

We don’t have to have every answer.
We don’t have to understand every season.
We don’t have to see how it’s all going to work out.

We can simply decide: My heart is settled. My faith is settled. I know who my God is. ❤️

Week 3 may be over, but God is still working through this message — and we’re not finished yet!

If you’ve missed the first few weeks, don’t let that stop you from joining us next Sunday. Come as you are and see what God has for you.
