-Official Statement Regarding Chubbs Morton/D. Morton & Gifted
The Evening Light Cathedral is issuing the following statement regarding the previously announced appearance of Chubbs Morton/ D. Morton & Gifted at the Evening Light Cathedral’s 50th Pastoral Anniversary Banquet Celebration on October 24, 2026 at 5PM.
Chubbs Morton/ D. Morton & Gifted were confirmed & booked as the Special Musical Guest for the ELC Pastoral Banquet Event in February 2026 & was booked for October 24th at 5PM. At that time the booking agreement was initiated and a deposit was paid to secure their appearance for our event.
Based on that confirmation the group was publicly announced as a part of the Celebration Banquet & tickets were subsequently sold with their appearance included in the event promotion.
The Church has since been notified that Chubbs Morton of the D. Morton & Gifted group was scheduled to perform at another event on October 24, 2026 at 5PM the same date & time as the Evening Light Cathedral event.
Chubbs Morton of the D. Morton & Gifted Group have elected to fulfill the other engagement & therefore will no longer appear at the Evening Light Cathedral Pastoral 50th Anniversary Banquet Celebration.
The Evening Light Cathedral is providing this statement because the groups appearance was previously announced and tickets have been based on the announcement.
The purpose of the communication is to provide accurate information & clarify that we confirmed the engagement, executed the agreement & submitted the required deposit in February 2026.
The Evening Light Cathedral appreciate the continued support and understanding of all ticket holders, members & guests as we provide this update.
