John 13: vs 34-35
Jesus gave a new commandment; Love each other just as I have loved you. You should love each other , your love will show the world that you are my disciples. where is this love today, all I see is so much hate? We as Christians need to show this love and not support the lies, hate and the revenge seekers. Christ gave us this new commandment to love one another, that means all races and cultures. He died for all of us not just a few. How do we justify supporting those who seek revenge and sow the seeds of hate! We should be praying for the wisdom and courage to show the Love of Christ in EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING we do.

Hey if you like Ham dinners, you're in luck. Join us here at Strawberry Ridge TUCC this Saturday, September 23rd for our Ham dinner. We are serving from 4-7pm dine-in only. Cost is $15.00 (all you can eat), children 6 and under are free. Dinner includes ham, filling, masked potatoes, gravy, vegetable, applesauce, cake, coffee, tea or water. Hmmm, hmmm good! SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY Psalm 139 13-16 We could spend months on just these 4 verses. This entire chapter is praise to God for His creation of us and also it is an attempt to wrap our minds around the awesomeness of God and His plan for our lives. The psalmist says in verse 13 that it was God (God alone), who formed our "inward parts." He knit us together in our mother's womb. Another words, God didn't just create life and then let it run its course haphazardly and without purpose. No, in fact He knitted us together. Do you see the intricacy here? Knitting is a process whereby we are created step by step; individually, each time. The previous step was needed for the next step and on and on. Until finally God finishes His work and a unique individual is created, in HIS IMAGE. Who we are to be on this earth has already been determined by the creator. That's how much God loves you! Let God show you His will for your lives. It will be awesome...

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY 8/29/23 Roman 8:31-32 SO much in these 2 verses. Satan and those under his power are against us, but in the end, God promises the victory. How much is God for us? So much that He did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all! The word "spare" is the same word for "withheld" used in Genesis 22:12, when God said to Abraham, "You have not withheld even your beloved son from me." God has given everything to us in His Son Jesus - it's the definition of true love. God loves you THIS much.....

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY 8/18/23 Matthew 14:22-33. This is the whole story of Jesus walking on water but we're only going to look at 28-31. Peter ask if he can come to Jesus on the water and Jesus says go ahead. Peter gets out and starts to actually walk on the water! The premise here is not complicated. Peter takes his eyes off of Jesus and begins to sink and he immediately panics. He yells for Jesus to save him, which Jesus of course does. Jesus even says to him, "Why did you doubt?" Jesus knows there are times we will doubt and are faith will falter. But the point is brings your eyes and heart BACK to Him. We panic and start thrashing around and usually when we do that, we sink. If you get into a spot in life, just breath and focus on Jesus. And if you've don't know Jesus, just ask Him into your heart; He never turns those away who knock at His door.

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY 8/16/23 Psalm 37:3-4 Looks like I can post again. Let's try it. I love this whole chapter but let's look at verses 3 and 4. It really is a matter of trust. If you trust in the Lord and do good (that means the best you can), you will live in God's presence (the land). If you take the time to cultivate your relationship with God, you will take delight in Him because you are growing in your knowledge of Him. His presence and His will for your life will become clearer. Then the stress and burdens of life become bearable and since you are leaving it to God, He can give you the desires of your heart because your heart's desires will match His. It's all about GRACE!

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY 6/16/23 Romans 5:18 Only one verse but so powerful. One man's trespass (Adam), one man's act of righteousness (Jesus). We would have been left to ourselves if it hadn't been for Jesus sacrifice on the cross which saved us from ourselves. Jesus saved us from OUR sin, not His. So now, if we have faith in Christ, we are justified before God. Even though we are still in our sinful bodies, God sees us through Christ. And we are saved! Praise to God!
