Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. Proverbs 8:34…. I look around and see my wonderful life, almost perfect from the outside! In picture frames I see my beautiful wife, always smiling but on the inside, I can hear her saying "Lead me with strong hands; stand up when I can't don't leave me hungry for love, chasing dreams, what about us? Show me you're willing to fight, that I'm still the love of your life! I know we call this our home but I still feel alone." I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes; they're just children from the outside! I'm working hard, I tell myself they'll be fine they're independent but on the inside, I can hear them saying "Lead me with strong hands, stand up when I can't don't leave me hungry for love, chasing dreams, what about us? Show me you're willing to fight that I'm still the love of your life! I know we call this our home but I still feel alone." So Father, give me the strength to be everything I am called to be! Oh, Father, show me the way to lead them! Won't you lead me? To lead them with strong hands, to stand up when they can't! Don't want to leave them hungry for love, chasing dreams that I could give up! I'll show them I'm willing to fight and give them the best of my life so we can call this our home! Lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone! Father, lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone!- Sanctus Real…Wow! What a message in song by Sanctus Real. Are we as men, as husbands, as daddy’s doing all that we can do to lead our families in the ways of the Lord? Do we leave them desiring more from us as the leaders that God has called us to be? To love our family is to want and to do what is best for them. Where do their spiritual lives rank in this responsibility? Do we place as much value in the spiritual wellbeing of our spouse and children as we do in the other areas of their lives? Do we care enough to listen to and be led by God and to watch daily at His gates and wait at His doors? Where are we in our willingness to be led by the Heavenly Father and our understanding that we must be steadfast, obedient and men of courage so we can lead our loved ones? Spend time with the Father each and every day in prayer and studying His word, strengthening that relationship that will enable us to not leave them wanting more but rather giving them the confidence that we will always love them and will be that rock that every family needs to lead them in the way that God has called us to lead…Praying that God will create within us all the desire and the courage to step up and lead our families and to fight for them in the spiritual warfare that they encounter each and everyday. Father lead us because we can’t do this alone…(2011)

Malachi 3:10
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it....This verse has crossed my path several times in recent days and when this happens I often ponder it's purpose...what does God want me to see, what instruction or life application does He desire in my life? I believe that it's about more, much, MUCH more than the obvious idea of tithing. I do believe that the giving of our tithes and offerings are important and crucial in our obedience and our worship to our Lord but this verse I believe speaks more about our faith or the lack thereof...God desires for us to tithe not only financially but also with our time and our talents! Where I fall short many times is simply exercising my faith when having the knowledge that God is in complete control, that He loves me and He truly wants to bless me...for goodness sake- He is telling me to test Him! If I choose not to "test Him", then what does this say about my faith IN Him? Our faith can and will be a source of strength for our daily walk and it will also draw others to Him as they see the fulfilling of His promises in our life! Our FAITH in Him affects not just our life but also the lives of our family, our friends and the many others that cross our path each and every day! So my prayer today is that I would trust Him enough to test Him and then give thanks to Him as He works in me and through me to build His Kingdom! Hope this encourages you as much as it has encouraged me this morning! May He bless you in abundance today! (2015)

Happy Father’s Day!!!! Thankful for the godly men who represent their families and their Lord and bless us all by your faithfulness! We pray for you and yours each and every day!

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25…As we approach another opportunity to study His word, fellowship with our brothers & sisters and WORSHIP our Lord and Savior, I pray that His house of prayer will be filled beyond capacity tomorrow. Church attendance is so crucial in the discipleship of every believer. We need to be surrounded by other Christians so that "we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds". We need to be surrounded by our brothers and sisters so we can encourage as well as be encouraged. Folks, bottom line is we need each other. What better place to be found "meeting together" than in the Lords house. "Meeting together" to "Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
