2nd Next Level Collaboration meeting in the books! These meetings are designed to refresh, refuel & grow outreach ministries. Regardless of if you are actively serving or feel called to serve! No matter what church you go to, we serve His Kingdom! Active duty, front liners, first responders-can & will experience burn out, become weary! It was never God’s intention for us to do this alone.
Moses ministry, he spent a lot of time-alone with God. From floating in the basket in the river as a baby-to up on the mountain top in the wilderness. But even then-in the battle he had Aaron & Hur held up his arms.
Peter-in Luke, was sent out into the deep, caught so much fish, their boat began to sink & their net broke. They called to the shore for another boat.
Last night was no different. We came together in prayer. & together-you could feel the atmosphere shift. From different churches, but all for His Kingdom.
Our speaker out did himself! “Send me” we have the best and most sincere response…maybe not fully understanding the weight that comes with serving. Often we get to a point of asking..”Lord, how long?” Isaiah 6:1-11. The Bible truly is a road map!! We aren’t the first to pass this way & we won’t be the last.
We ate a wonderful Italian spread. Laughed and had a wonderful time.
Passed a note book around, each person put 2 questions down & then as we read them, had an open discussion. I’m a firm believer of learning from others. I don’t believe the Lord puts people in your path, for no reason. Here was some of our open discussion questions- feel free to join below! (Be respectful in your responses, understanding your perspective & others might differ. Due to different callings, environments, & different chapters or seasons in walking in your purpose)
-How do you actively fight the spirits you come in contact with you, while doing outreach?
-how do you handle burn out?
-what do you find to be the best way to engage in outreach, in your community?
-have you ever been able to get someone who was active in ministry & walked away, to reengage?
-knowing modern tech & social media, do you think it has a place in outreach? Effective?
-how do you change the perception that ministries are just for those who suffer from addiction? How do you grow participation?
-when you don’t see results you desire, how do you handle discouragement?
-what advice would you give to parents with young children who work in ministry?
-at what point do you draw a line in supporting people? Supporting financially?
-what ways can I serve, while in the waiting for where I feel called? Describe what that waiting feels like to you? What growth did you see in that time of waiting?
All wonderful questions. Which openeded the door for wonderful discussions with equally wonderful people!!
