We always think about the hard times that come and go. We hear the saying . When the s**t hits the fan. Most say people are generally good, but the true character will be seen during these hard times. Chuck Davis speaks tonight about us who are called to be Holy, doing right even when everything is going wrong. Loving and helping those in need when the s**t does fly! I picture a dog eat dog world when things do go awry. Guess we will see who is still feeding the flock when it does hit the fan.

There are many false teachers today as in the days of Apostle Peter and he speaks of them in 2 Peter chapter 2. They lead churches in their colorful robes with a heart full of pride. Making people worse of than if they never showed up in a church. These false teachers do receive a reward , but its a reward of destruction for themselves and others they lead into darkness .They twist Gods Truth by saying love can't be wrong. They promise freedom but are slaves themselves to sin and corruption. Other prosperity Preachers offer blessings and healing if you sow a big enough tithe. One thing is for sure,if you can not find a church that adheres to Biblical teaching. Its better to never step in the door.

We as Followers are told to build our treasures in Heaven now, which Jesus brings with Him upon His return. Many will enter Heaven empty handed but others will receive a Grand Entrance into The Eternal Kingdom by God Himself 2 Peter 1:10-11. Many believe its works that get you to Heaven ( Saved) , but as these verses say, it's our works that prove to others we are called and chosen. Imagine showing up and The Father saying to All in Heaven . "Look my child arrived". I have snuck through the back door of many places and done some bad things in my life and its gained nothing but misery and heart ache for others and left me in the dark. I now look forward to that Entrance of Light by providing to others i am called!

I often think about what lies ahead after this flesh fails. Being with and seeing loved ones already there. But more than that I want to see Jesus. As I am sure many others think the same thing.
I believe He will somehow be able to spend time with each of us individually, yet at the same time. We scratch our head at this but this is happening now as well. Those that are His Followers have a part of Himself in them. John 17:7 tells us this. His Holy Spirit is in each of us Now. But I do look forward to the day i can wrap my arms around His flesh and Feel His around mine. Some may call that thought corny, but I find it
Comforting.

A taste of things to come. Are your eyes open to all the natural disasters occurring in our current time? Scripture speaks of a generation that will see many things happening at once. Heat records, drought, fires, floods,earthquakes, volcanos, landslides, even here locally, this year is the most water i have ever seen in my yard. But its more than natural disasters, its the moral decay of our country. The things that are being normalized and celebrated, seen wrong not so many years ago. My head shakes all the time. Students graduating high school that cant even read or do basic math. There will be a final generation, Are we it? I am always looking up and asking ,Whats coming next Lord. And that week there is always something! Man thinks they can build a utopia , but Scripture says everything will decay like an old rag. We just seen a mountain come down and wash through the valley at over a hundred miles an hour in Nepal. This is happening more and more. Jesus said keep watch for these things. Apostle Pauls words come to mind ." The whole creation groans like a woman in labor " Romans 8:22.

How many times have we all scratched our head at a coincidence or chance encounter with someone ? Curtis Hunt brought this up last night in his sermon when the Samaritan woman ran into Jesus at Jacob's well. Maybe we should look at these coincidences a little deeper and try to see how Gods hand is at work. Joyce calls these chance encounters "God Winks". Ephesians 1:11 tells us nothing falls outside Gods plans. What if there are no random events, Maybe that coincidence is something We missed the first time God brought it around for us to notice.

Jesus was seen a rebel during His ministry. He crossed all and any barriers, cultural,social ,or religious. This is seen when He asked the Samaritan woman for a drink of water at the well in John 4:1-42. He asked for something so small ,but offered everything to her and any with ears to hear. Curtis Hunt brings The Word tonight about this encounter at the well. Imagine a spring of living water always pouring into you.
Fill me up daily Lord, I am yet a leaky vessel!

When I think of John The Baptist i picture and remember Charlton Heston from the movies shouting Repent, Repent ! Many rejected John back then ,but it would be Many more rejecting him today. We live in a society of acceptance, saying just do it, my choice, loving pride, moral decay and churches preaching about Gods unfailingly love. But the hard truth is His saving grace is not unconditional. A life following Jesus is not without change, its a lifelong commitment of turning our vices into virtues. All roads do not lead to Heaven. There is only one.. God will surely meet you where you are at. But He moves from there. You follow Him or you don't . Most Dont! I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, just towards God and repeating His words. "Everyone did what was right in their own eyes". Whats that mean? We justify our fleshly,selfish,sinful, desires and never Repent. God has a Holy Standard. I am not totally there yet, But I am aiming at it. I hear John's voice always in my mind,( Repent). Maybe I have a bit of Elijahs spirit in me as well. There are some words i don't like to think on from God i must repeat. "Jacob i loved, Esau I hated" Malachi 1: 2-3 . There are those people that are Gods,and those that are Not. I'm feeling the time is at hand and something is coming as John did.

We all have heard the stories of someone rich paying their way out of trouble. While the one without the bucks goes to prison. But all the money in the world will not keep even one from death or the grave in the end. Psalm 49:7-9 speaks about this. Keeping reading from there, hope lies ahead , only one can sn**ch us from the grave. Has Your bill been payed? Many name their estates after themselves that will be in another's hand one day. This Psalm also speaks about a Sheperd, one being death, the other Life. Whats in your hand? A fist full of dollars, or the redeemer's hand that promises to never let go, even when death calls and the grave is dug? If you do not know Jesus , enjoy what you have Now, because its the most you will EVER have.
