As this world continues to spiral downward.....and "evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."......we who are saved can still live looking upward!
How? BY HIS GRACE!

God's word goes on to tell us how we can live for Christ in a deceived world!

2 Timothy 3:14 says, "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of,..."

Titus 2:11-12 says, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;"

The Bible is abundantly clear, that the grace of God is offered to every sinner!
And that same grace that the sinner is saved by, is the same grace, that the now "saved sinner" is taught by, on how to live "soberly, righteously, and godly" in this present world....

The difference in trying to obey God through the law, and serving God through grace ....is..... if I try to obey his law, I will "spiritually, and even physically wear out!"
I will "continuously fall short"!....

I will only see my mistakes in trying to please God, instead of allowing his grace to teach me!

The law has no part in my salvation.....and it also has no part in my service for Christ!

Sadly, those who live by the law, continuously see how far off they are from actually serving Christ, instead of seeing how close Christ is to us, when we are taught by his grace.

When we surrender our hearts through the grace of God, as we live in this world by the grace of God, we simply repent of our faults(SINS!)and then continue on in the grace that never left us since that moment WE FIRST BELIEVED!

We can't live godly in this present world without the grace of God!

No sinner on this earth, whether lost or saved, can live a life that is pleasing to God, apart from the marvelous grace of God!

Folks, we know today is the Labor Day holiday.....it's a day set aside, for many( sadly not all)to take the day off and rest.
so why not decide today, on this "Labor Day 2026", that we'll bring all our "labor" all our "efforts", and place them at the feet of Jesus?

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Decide today will be the day, to stop digging that spiritual hole in the dirt of this sin cursed world,
and simply through faith bring your burdens and efforts to Christ!

I love the old hymn, 🎶"Living By Faith", in Jesus above..." 🎵 but if I could change one thing about that blessed song, it would be, 🎵"Living By Grace Through Faith, in Jesus above...."🎶!

As the McKameys old song goes " 🎵 Standing on Jordans Stormy shore..... I'll lift my trembling voice once more....I know how I made it...(I know how I made it)I made it by grace(God's Amazing Grace)! 🎶

OH THANK GOD FOR HIS AMAZING GRACE!
We are saved by it!
And we must live in it, as we are taught by it!

🎶 Tis grace that brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home! 🎵

Galatians 6:1&2, "Brethren If any man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Thank God for all the churches out there today, that believe the Bible....still win the lost.... still encourage the saints.....and still restore the fallen!

Amen!

One of the first verses I learned early in my Christian life was 2 Timothy 2:15.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God,.."

I believe 2 Timothy 2:15 should be one of the top four things....
(1 prayer
2 reading and studying(rightly dividing the word of truth)the Bible.
3 faithfully attending Church.
4 soul winning.....
that should be in every Christians life!

2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for correction, for reproof, for instruction in righteousness:"

Now, the religionists' studies the Bible through the lens of a preconceived religious idea of what "they believe" the Bible should say......
When this happens , they sadly come away being approved of men, but not of God!
Many times the "religionist" will try to correct God's word in their understanding of the original "Hebrew and Greek", instead of allowing The Holy Spirit to correct them, in just plain OLD ENGLISH!

But, a Bible Believing Christian should study(rightly dividing the word of truth), and as we study, we should study in a way that God approves!
We should consider our study as "a workman that needeth not to be ashamed"...!
I can honestly say, there are many things I've done in my life, that I am truly ashamed of....but I can boldly say, that believing God's word is not one of them!
I can say with all assurance, that I am NOT ASHAMED of the doctrine in which I believe!
I can boldly proclaim, and I am unashamed of the Bible( The King James Bible)I believe and the gospel that I preach from it!

2 Timothy 2:15 begins with the word "STUDY" and ends with the word "TRUTH"!
We should "STUDY TRUTH", and everything in it!
Form Genesis to Revelation....every word in the blessed King James Bible is inspired, perfect, and preserved!
Now let's open our Bible, and STUDY TRUTH!

Colossians 3:2 says, "Set your affection on things above, not things on the earth."

There's a humanistic saying by Oliver Wendell Holmes that goes like this, "Some people are so heavenly minded, that they are of no earthly good."
Sadly Mr. Holmes got it backwards when he made that statement!

The truth is, "Those who are so earthly minded, are of no heavenly good!"

I believe as Christians we should see that, the more heavenly minded we are....the more souls we'll reach on this earth for Christ!

The only things we can carry with us to heaven, are the souls we won for Christ, and the life we lived in him!

All the rest of this earth, and the earthly minded materialistic things that we thought were so important, will be left behind to eventually burn up!

Our affection in things above, should keep us in focus on the only important things below on this earth.....which are the souls of others!

Anything else.....is out of focus on what's really important!

Let's keep our eyes on Jesus, and focus on who he focuses on.... OTHERS!

A little long, but I hope you'll take a minute to read.

Two important words we must see in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 are, "endure" and "fables".
To not endure means, to not continue....to no longer continue in sound doctrine.
"they will not endure sound doctrine" is saying, they will no longer stick with "sound", or "correct" doctrine.....they will leave what is true, for different "fables".
"fables" here in 2 Timothy 4:4, are religious fairy tales, or little fictional stories, that please the lust of the religionists to feel more intelligent....more learned...more ("in their own thinking") superior.

You'll be surprised at the folks in the "wild world of religion" who believe they have arrived, when it comes to "their way" of correcting what God has already inspired!

There are many different kinds of "fable preachers" in this old world, who preach different fables!

But, there is only ONE KIND of gospel preacher, and that is the one who preaches the truth of the ONE AND ONLY GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST!

The best way to stay sound, is to be sound, and to be grounded!
To be grounded, one must stay grounded in a Bible Believing Church!
To stay in the Scriptures, and believe God's word as it is written!
To stay away from false doctrines....don't even entertain your ears with those who are contrary to scripture!

One of the tools Satan uses in this modern day in drawing people away with fables, is through the Internet!
This modern day internet is filled with deception!
You can flip though the YouTube channel, and find every kind of doctrine under the sun!

Let me first of all say when it comes to the Internet, that YouTube or "anything internet", is not and cannot be a replacement for the local Bible Believing Bible Preaching New Testament Church!

When you are watching the screen....you are just watching what a congregation looks like "through a screen", instead of experiencing what a real church is like, through "assembling ourselves together as the manner of some is"...

I'm not saying that every preacher on the Internet is bad.....but when the good and the bad are mixed together on one channel..... confusion mixes with it!

Also, many have the mistaken idea that, only those who appear liberal are the ones Paul was warning us about in 2 Timothy 4:3-4......may I say that there are just as many false doctrines floating around clothed in conservative garments, as there are clothed in the attire of liberalism!
Just because a guy gets up in a suit and tie, it doesn't mean he is doctrinally sound.
Just remember that false doctrine has no dress codes!

I have heard many "good sounding speakers"..... speakers ("preachers" ) who sound much like what we sound.... and look much like how we look, and are very similar to us in many different ways.....but then, when it comes to salvation, they start preaching another gospel....they start preaching a predeterministic gospel.....a legalistic gospel....a gospel that requires forward or back loaded works....a gospel that is not the gospel of Christ!
So you see, false doctrines can come dressed like us, and even sound like us....but when compared to scripture.....they are not us!

Paul also said about those who preach another gospel...those who are drawing others into their fables.....in Galatians 1:8, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

So, be careful in these last days that Paul warned us about in 2 Timothy 4: 3-4!
Paul said the time will come....well may I say, that I believe that time has come!

Be careful who you listen to.
