Some goodbyes are harder than words can ever express.
Today we close the doors of a church that has been so much more than a building. It has been a home. A sanctuary where weary hearts found peace, where prayers were lifted through joy and heartbreak, where families grew together in faith, and where generations learned to trust in God's love.
For many of us, this is where we first felt His presence, where loved ones were baptized, where wedding vows were spoken, where tears fell at funerals, and where voices joined together in hymns that echoed through these walls. Every pew holds a memory. Every corner tells a story. Every stain in the altar, every worn Bible, every familiar creak of the floor reminds us of the people who came before us and the legacy they left behind.
It's hard to imagine these doors closing. It hurts because this place has been part of who we are. But while the building may grow quiet, the faith that was nurtured here will never be silenced. The love shared here, the prayers prayed here, and the lives changed here will continue long after these doors are locked for the last time.
Thank You, Lord, for allowing us to call this place home. Thank You for every sermon preached, every song sung, every child who laughed in these halls, every soul that found hope here, and every person who faithfully served.
We may be saying goodbye to this building, but we could never say goodbye to the memories, the people, or God who met us here time and time again.
