Windy S. Adcock

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Windsor “Windy” S. Adcock, age 76 of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, and formerly of Roanoke, Alabama, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Windy was a devoted Christian, husband, and brother. Windy was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church, located in Dalton, Ga. His memory will be treasured by all who loved him.

Windy is survived by his wife, Betty Jordan Adcock, his brother Mike Adcock, and his nephews Ryan Adcock and Matt Adcock.

Windy was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Crouch Adcock and Doris Windsor Adcock, and his sister, Kristina Maria Adcock.

Windy was known for his huge heart for giving of himself for others, including various pets and animals. He loved fishing, and took advantage of every opportunity presented. He loved life, especially after all the physical mishaps he had endured. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with his many friends and with family, and will be sorely missed by all.

A Memorial service to celebrate Windy’s life will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 1:00pm in the sanctuary of Salem Baptist Church located at 1448 Pleasant Grove Drive NE, Dalton, GA 30721, with Pastor Darey Kittle officiating. Messages of comfort may be left for the family in the comments below.

Because of uncertainty with the weather, we will have ONE service tomorrow at 10:45am and no Sunday School.
We will not have 8:00am or 9:30am services, Sunday School or children’s classes. There will be one service in the sanctuary and bilingual service In the gym at 10:45am.
Join us as we come together to praise the Lord, worship Him as one church family, and fix our hearts on The One that never changes.
