Japan Peacekeeping Trip: Nagasaki. We've had the privilege of spending the past two days with the Nagasaki Baptist Church family, deepening our understanding of peace and resilience.

Our visit to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park was a reminder of the importance of promoting peace, with powerful testimonies that resonated deeply.

Reading 'The Bells of Nagasaki' before our journey prepared us for the profound experience of visiting Dr. Nagai's house and museum, a testament to the human spirit's capacity for hope and forgiveness.

A warm welcome from the church last night led to a wonderful evening of delicious potluck dinner, games, and laughter, reminding us that joy knows no borders.

This morning, we were inspired by Pastor Jonathan's message on 'the long Work of Peace' during both worship services.

This afternoon we heard personal testimonies, including that of a bomb survivor. It has left an indelible mark on our hearts. This journey has been transformative, enriched by the humility and kindness of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

We're now headed to Tokyo for a day of sightseeing before returning home on Tuesday, grateful for your prayers that have accompanied us throughout our journey.

We arrived safely in Nagasaki yesterday, marking the continuation of our journey focused on peacekeeping.

Today, our group explored the Twenty-Six Martyrs Museum, Oura Catholic Cathedral, and Glover Gardens, sparking reflections on peace, resilience, and unity.

A beautiful view of the city lights at night from Mt. Inasa ropeway capped off the evening, reinforcing the importance of our mission.

In the next two days, we'll spend time with Nagasaki Baptist church, touring the peace park and enjoying fellowship and worship. It’s been an amazing trip.

Japan Peace Keeping Trip: Hiroshima:

We're still grasping the depth of emotions that have unfolded since our arrival. Our journey through the Hiroshima National Peace Museum and Peace Park has been a poignant reminder of the power of peace.

We experienced the thrill of a baseball game and found solace in worship at Hiroshima Baptist Church, where a member and an atomic bomb survivor shared her inspiring testimony with our group. As we came together in worship, our languages blended in a beautiful symphony of unity, stirring profound emotions.

We're filled with gratitude for the Christians here who embody God's love and peace. Please continue to pray as we prepare to head to Nagasaki tomorrow.

Japan Peacekeeping Trip: Today's journey was a testament to connection - 3 trains in four hours, including 2 Bullet trains, a street car, a ferry boat, and several taxis that brought us to and around Hiroshima, bridging cities and experiences.

We arrived at Mayajima Island in the late afternoon, where the famous Tori Gate and friendly deer awaited, their gentle bows a poignant reminder of innocence. The low tide was a welcome bonus, allowing us to walk around the gate.

In the next two days, we'll find strength and inspiration at Hiroshima Baptist Church, where our group will worship and learn. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated!

Japan Peacekeeping Trip: We were humbled to join Kanazawa International Baptist Church for a day of worship, participating in both the Japanese and international services. Sharing a meal with the congregations between services was a highlight, fostering connections and understanding.

The day drew to a close with a memorable Japanese dinner. We were sad to say farewell to Laura, Ada, and Judah for the week since they have school.

Please pray for safe travels as we journey on the Japan Rail System tomorrow!

Japan Peacekeeping Trip: Arriving safely in Kanazawa, Japan, after a 26-hour journey marks the beginning of a powerful journey towards learning about peace.

We've had a day to recharge, connect, and explore, and we're deeply grateful for the warm hospitality extended by our mission partners Foushees in Japan.

As we prepare to worship with Kanazawa Baptist Church tomorrow, we're filled with anticipation and hope. Please pray with us as we learn from and share with our Japanese Christian brothers and sisters, working together towards a more peaceful world.
