Maundy Thursday Chapel Service on Thursday, April 2nd, service of
Remembrance and Communion in the Chapel at 6:30 p.m.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service on Friday, April 3rd at Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene at 6:30 p.m. Through scripture, prayer, and song, we will remember Jesus’ final words. Pastor Jennifer and several members from the First Congregational Church of Dalton will be participating in this community service.

As most of you know, this church is very Mission and community-based, so in response to the need for action to address food insecurity that is happening, we must all join together as a community and support our neighbors.

Please read the information that went out to our congregation this afternoon via email.

The First Congregational Church of Dalton pledges to match donations from the congregation or community up to $ 2,000.00 to support local food pantries in Dalton and Hinsdale, and to help address food insecurity in the community during this uncertain time.

Please send your donations to the First Congregational Church, 514 Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226. Checks can be made out to First Congregational Church of Dalton, with a memo note Food Match Donation.

If you would like to donate food, you can drop off any non-perishable items at the First Congregational Church, located at 514 Main Street, during office hours, Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or on Sunday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. You can also drop food items at the local food pantries listed below.

If you need to arrange a time or have any questions, please call or text Beth O'Connor, Moderator FCC, at 413-347-2370.

Example of Food Needed: Cereal, pasta, canned vegetables or fruit, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese, soup, mayonnaise, juice, instant mashed potatoes, rice, Knorr pasta sides, Chef Boyardee. Toilet paper, hygiene products. PLEASE DO NOT DONATE ANY EXPIRED FOOD ITEMS.
