Last week, we had the opportunity to support the Family Support Council and the wonderful work they do by sharing our parking lot with them for their Trunk or Treat. A few Pleasant Grove folks were even able to get in on the fun by passing out candy to the families present!

To celebrate pastor appreciation month, Pleasant Grove Methodist concluded Sunday's worship service by praying for Pastor Mattie who knelt at the altar while the congregation stood behind her.

Pastor Mattie is grateful for a congregation that prays for their pastor and can't wait to see what the future holds as we serve in ministry together.

Do I want to be changed enough to allow God to search my heart?

It’s easy to say yes to that question, but the way we live reveals far more about our priorities and desires than our words alone.

This week, we are praying Psalm 139:23–24 every day and then spending a few minutes in silence listening for how God might speak to us in return.

If we want God to change us, then we have to make room for Him to search our hearts and to reveal to us the attitudes, habits, and sin that is keeping us from the life God has called us to.

🎉Join with us in celebrating this holy and beautiful baptism from last Sunday!

🤍 We give thanks for the ways God's grace is already at work in the life of this little one, and we can't wait to see how God will use him as he grows up in the Christian faith.

What if prayer isn’t just about asking God to change our circumstances but about allowing God to change our hearts?

This Sunday, we begin a new three-week sermon series, titled Changed by Prayer, where we will explore three prayers from Scripture that invite us to trust God, to be shaped by God, and to make ourselves available for His purposes.

Join us this Sunday at 10:55 AM at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church as we learn how God seeks to use prayer to transform us.

Come expecting God to move.

Thank you to these servants who are sorting gifts to go in the shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child! These shoeboxes will be used to help share the love of Jesus with children across the world.

There are two ways for you to get involved in this awesome ministry opportunity:

✦ Pick up an empty shoe box from the church, go shopping at your favorite store to purchase toys to fill the box, and return the packed shoe box to the church by Sunday, November 15th.

✦ Join us on Wednesday, October 21st at 6:30pm for our Packing Party where we will take all of the gifts pictured above and pack them into individual shoe boxes.

Last Sunday, we were reminded that as followers of Jesus, we belong to the same body, we have been given the same grace, and we share the same mission. We are not competing with one another because all Christians are on the same team.

The Kingdom of God will come in a powerful way in Dalton when we do not fight with other Christians but instead live into our call to work together to make disciples and to share with others of the love found in Jesus Christ.
