There’s a difference between worship and entertainment and knowing that difference matters.
Worship is about God. It’s rooted in reverence, humility, and a genuine desire to connect with Him. It’s not about being seen, applauded, or emotionally hyped up, it’s about surrender, truth, and honoring something greater than ourselves.
Entertainment, on the other hand, is designed to please people. It focuses on engagement, reactions, and keeping attention. There’s nothing wrong with entertainment in its place, but when it replaces or disguises itself as worship, the focus quietly shifts from God to the audience.
That’s why discernment is so important.
Not everything that looks spiritual is truly worship. Not everything that feels good is rooted in truth. Real worship doesn’t need to perform, it needs to be sincere.
When we understand the difference, we protect the integrity of our faith and keep our hearts aligned where they belong.
Worship isn’t about the spotlight, it’s about surrender.
