The Gathering, Dallas Texas We used to meet in Thanks-Giving square outdoors every Sunday before Covid. But we are no longer an active ministry today.

For 10 years, we WERE a Street-Ministry TO, WITH & FOR our local homeless community + a Sunday church w/o walls--a Mission Station of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas❣️
BUT NO THANKS to THANKSGIVING SQUARE for ENDING our weekly meeting in "THEIR" park.

Hello to all members here…new and old. I wish to make myself quite clear: THIS ministry (“The Gathering”) is no longer active. It was a weekly activity every Sunday at lunchtime to celebrate (Episcopal) Mass in Thanksgiving Square and then feed everyone who came. We were so blessed, met so many on the street who responded, & saved a lot of lives.

The people on the board of Thanksgiving Square eventually told us to end it after appx. 10 years (TEN!) of wonderful weekly church & food!

So please know…this is more now for the memories that our congregation of non-housed adults made with us…& was also a new approach for “The Church” in general. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT YEARS YOU GAVE US, all you honorable homeless folks…and also to the FORMER Thanksgiving Square board members who allowed the Park to be used weekly in this manner!
