“𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧, 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢, 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙙𝙤.” — Luke 23:34

Beaten. Mocked. Crucified.

Surrounded by hatred, as the crowd jeered and the weight of the world’s sin pressed upon Him, these were among the first words Jesus spoke from the cross.

Not anger.
Not revenge.
Not self-pity.

Forgiveness.

In the face of unimaginable suffering, Jesus chose mercy. What seemed unforgivable, He forgave. What seemed beyond redemption, He redeemed.

With outstretched arms, He revealed a love deeper than we can comprehend — a love that chooses grace even when wounded, a love that offers pardon instead of punishment.

This is the heart of our Saviour.

A love that meets us in our brokenness.
A love that forgives before we even ask.
A love that calls us to do the same.

Today, may we pause and reflect:
Who do we need to forgive?
Where can we choose grace over resentment?

Because the same mercy poured out on the cross is the mercy extended to us — and through us.
