The danger of "like" addiction in sharing the Word.
Affirmation is a human NEED
That must be let go of if in ministry you Proceed.
While there is a season of ministry that will attract affirmation;
There is an inevitable season that will attract irritation.
What's the motivation
Of giving a powerful bible Proclamation?
It's certainly not to provoke an "about you" celebration.
If this is the only reason you continue in this fight
then it might be that you don't see that you are addicted to the "like".
Not the Light
Not the Right
But addicted to man's "LIKE".
The world will cheer you as if you speak like royalty
but get to close to their flame with the truth, they will soon display their Loyalty,
Have you forgotten the true motivation for standing on truth and that the true reason...
Is to be committed to God's truth, in season or out of Season.
Don't get so used to their affirmations that they begin to make you.
Don't forget that Jesus said that the world is gonna hate you.
Don't be hypnotized but realize that you too can be addicted
and mesmerized and paralyzed from what once had you convicted.
You'll lay your calling on their alter pursuing what the masses expect.
Ultimately losing and abusing your gift and your respect.
I speak from what I experienced and what I once tried to pursue.
The people of this world are inevitably gonna hate your faith no matter how good a job you do.
Don't believe this? Can't perceive this? Then just try to please them and then you'll SEE..
That they will laud you and applaud you today and tomorrow they'll hang you on a TREE.
This is why the calling is to reach them not to please them I SAY.
Even Herod enjoyed John the Baptist's teaching but beheaded him at the end of the DAY. (Mark 6:20)
So the gist of this poetic sermon and the moral of this STORY;
Is that when you become addicted to the world's "like" you will ultimately eclipse God's GLORY.
In this world that belongs to the enemy, full of sin, hatred and spite.
Don't be flattered by their acceptance nor addicted to their "like"
