Did you know our Youth Group is serving on mission in Kansas City this week? Pray for them - that they would continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus to all those they meet and that this trip would have a profound spiritual impact on the rest of their lives!

Youth member Julian shared with the group, "I've learned that people work harder in challenging situations. People rise to the occasion when they give God the wheel."

We are so proud of these kids and how they model service for all of us.

We recently asked our Cliff Temple Kids volunteers what they wished everyone knew about working with children. Their responses were amazing!

"Children are a true resemblance of God."
"Children can really hear from God."
"I wish people knew that kids are also people with the same basic needs. The need for empowerment, to be heard, to be respected, to have some sense of control in life choices."
"Children are a blessing - chaotic but amazing!"
"Working with kids is not hard- anyone can help and volunteer."
"I wish everyone knew how kids would love them back if they gave them time and attention."

It goes without saying - we really love kids here! We are grateful for the opportunity to be an intergenerational place of worship for all people, all the time.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our first responders and the many helping hands who’ve graciously served with Mission Oak Cliff during the relief efforts for those affected by the devastation at the Clyde apartments.

On Sunday at 11:00 a.m. you are invited to a special time of prayer and thanksgiving for our community and our neighbors who continue to recover. We will also offer a special blessing over each of you who have served so faithfully. We would be honored by your presence on Sunday.

Our Youth Group has been reminding us what it means to be everyday missionaries this week! They have been spending their mornings helping run soccer camp in partnership with Mercy Street and Brother Bill's Helping Hand. In the afternoons, they have been spending their time volunteering with our disaster relief efforts at Mission Oak Cliff. We are so grateful to witness this next generation's desire to walk in the way of Jesus!

Photos from our Deacon Ordination service this past Sunday. It was incredible to witness nine new Deacons being ordained and the way the Holy Spirit is moving in our church body. We are so grateful for our Deacons and how they lean into their calling to serve our community in a deeper way.
