She is know a globally known speaker who shares powerful information on this subject of human trafficking. She is the founder of Its going to be ok inc . a nonprofit dedicated to restoring hope and safety for survivors of human trafficking through trauma-informed housing and mental health care. A survivor of human trafficking herself, she has transformed her lived experience into a global mission to protect and empower vulnerable populations.
A nationally recognized lived experience expert, speaker, and trainer, Dr. Stafford is a 2026 Texas Remarkable Woman Honoree, a 2024 L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth Honoree, and a recipient of the 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. Since founding her organization in 2014, she has expanded its impact internationally while advancing public awareness and policy change. She helped pass Texas House Bill 2290, establishing January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and is featured in the Be The One documentary produced by the Texas Attorney General, as well as the Texas Health and Human Services HEART Training (Hearing, Evaluating, Activating, Resourcing, and Training), which has reached and trained millions as of today.
