On February 1, Rev. Dr. Winner A. Laws was installed as Senior Pastor of Promise United Church of Christ. It was a beautiful service. Members from Promise United Church of Christ, The Gathering, A Womanist Church, Living Faith Covenant Church Family & Friends and Cathedral of Hope were present. Family and Friends from all over the city and country were present. I am thankful and grateful.

Was asked by Rev. Winnie Varghese to write the prayers for her installation as Dean of Cathedral of St. John the Divine, NYC- (posted on The Corners).
There was an uncontainable amount of joy at this event. An effervescent and defiant JOY.
I will hold onto the hope that we all felt this weekend like it is saving my life because it IS.

The people of Promise join in prayer for God's comfort, strength, and healing. May we continue to seek the better angels within us and be agents of peace.

Flames and smoke could be seen pouring from the church for hours before the blaze was put out.
