Dearest Chief Apostle, on this blessed day of your birthday, we thank Heavenly Father for placing you at the helm of His work. Your ministry truly speaks the 'language of the heart' to God’s children across the globe. May the Holy Spirit continue to fill you with divine wisdom, unshakeable strength, and deep joy as you lead the bride of Christ. We pray for God's richest blessings, good health, and heavenly protection over you, your dear wife, and your children. Happy Birthday, our beloved Chief Apostle
Biography of Chief Apostle Helge Mutschler
Chief Apostle Helge Mutschler serves as the highest spiritual authority and international leader of the New Apostolic Church, guiding millions of believers worldwide with a profound focus on the gospel of Christ, love, and the "language of the heart".
Early Life and Education
Born on August 8, 1974, in Tübingen, Germany, Helge Mutschler grew up alongside three siblings in Freudenstadt, located in the Black Forest region. Following his high school graduation and civil service, he pursued higher education with great diligence. In 1995, he began studying law at the University of Hannover. He completed his studies successfully, was admitted to the bar as a lawyer in 2003, and went on to earn his Doctorate in Law (Dr. iur.) in 2005. Before transitioning to full-time church service, he held prominent leadership positions, including managing the Lower Saxony Chamber of Tax Consultants.
Spiritual Journey and Ministry
Chief Apostle Mutschler’s path of ministry within the New Apostolic Church is a testament to lifelong dedication and faith:
1994: Received his very first ministerial mandate as a Sub-Deacon at just 20 years old.
2015: Ordained as an Apostle by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider, serving congregations across regions like Central Germany and Poland.
2021: Appointed as a District Apostle Helper.
Pentecost 2025: Assigned as the Chief Apostle Helper at a divine service in Wiesbaden, Germany, designating him as the official successor to the international church helm.
Pentecost 2026: Ordained as the Chief Apostle of the New Apostolic Church International during a historic, globally broadcast divine service in Cape Town, South Africa. He succeeded the retiring Chief Apostle Schneider, taking up the responsibility of preserving doctrinal purity and fostering worldwide church unity.
Personal Life
He has been married to his wife, Ann Juliette, since 2007, and together they are blessed with two children. Known for his approachable, open, and deeply warm demeanor, his leadership reminds the global congregation that "every member of the body of Christ is necessary" and that God's unshakeable message to every soul is simply: "I am love."

It has now been a few weeks since I was ordained as Chief Apostle. I am deeply grateful for your prayers, your support, and for all your kind thoughts and messages. Please be assured that I am praying for you all.

This Pentecost meant far more to us than simply a change in the leadership of the Church. Our focus was on commemorating the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and all that He does. He directs our eyes to Jesus Christ and thereby to the truth, which gives us stability and guidance.
In Jesus, we discover who God is for us: not distant, not silent, and not indifferent, but a God who comes, who humbles Himself and becomes human in order to be with us. He shares our life and our sufferings, and even where hatred, violence, and contempt reign, He responds with love: “Father, forgive them.”

For all who look to Christ in this way, our annual motto becomes a promise: “Don’t be afraid. Just believe!” In a time, when many people are unsettled, troubled, and anxious, this is the divine answer of the Comforter—for perfect love drives out fear. May the love of Christ touch our hearts so that fear may lose its hold over us.

You are loved by God, desired, and infinitely precious to Him—just as your neighbour is.

Pentecost brings the language of the heart: a language that unites, uplifts, and establishes peace. Wherever this language is spoken, a little bit of heaven already begins to take shape on earth.

Our Chief Apostles

05/24/2026

On this blessed Pentecost 2026, the members of the New Apostolic Church joyfully celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, as written in the Bible. Pentecost reminds us of the birth of the Christian Church, the power of faith, unity, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.

This year’s Pentecost celebration is also a historic and meaningful moment for the church. With gratitude and respect, we honor the faithful service and leadership of Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider as he prepares to hand over his ministry. His years of dedication, love, and care for the worldwide church have strengthened the faith of many believers.

At the same time, we welcome the ordination of Chief Apostle Helper Helge Mutschler as the new Chief Apostle of the New Apostolic Church. May God bless and guide him with wisdom, humility, and strength as he continues leading the church into the future.

May Pentecost 2026 renew our faith, deepen our love for God, and inspire us to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
