In her sermon on Friday evening titled "Sacred Insomnia," Rabbi Debra Robbins reminds us of the Torah's wisdom in the simple idea of a good night's sleep, even when it's difficult.

"For us, each sleepless night is opportunity to find strength and courage, arrogance or righteous anger. For us each tomorrow is a new beginning, to learn and change and grow."

"The impulse toward conscience, the command to care for the stranger, to love even our enemies, is part of what makes us Jews," said Rabbi David Stern in his June 5 sermon.

At a time when fear, anger and division can feel overwhelming, how do we stay connected to the values that define us?

In this powerful reflection, Rabbi Stern explores the Jewish call to honest self-reflection, moral courage and compassion—even when doing so is difficult.

There are many ways to begin a year of leadership. Ours involved wheelbarrows, garden beds, and a little Texas dirt.

Our Board of Trustees spent the morning alongside our dedicated gardeners in the Jill Stone Community Garden, shovels in hand and sleeves rolled up. Together, they learned, connected and experienced firsthand the care and commitment that help our community flourish.

A meaningful reminder that strong communities, like strong gardens, grow through shared work.
