Spaces are limited, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Summer break opens the door for churches to meet a real need in their communities.

If your church has been looking for a way to serve families, then check this out!

This week, at least 5.4 million Texas kids are walking out of school for the last time this school year.

For many of them, that's cause for celebration!

Summer, freedom, no more homework… but, for an estimated 1 in 5 children in Texas, the end of the school year also means the end of the most reliable meals they receive all week.

Food insecurity doesn't always look like a child who hasn't eaten today. More often, it looks like a family that simply doesn't know where the next meal is coming from. It's the uncertainty. The unpredictability, the quiet stress of a refrigerator that might be empty by Thursday.

When the school bell rings for the last time this week, that safety net disappears for the next three months.

The CLC encourages churches across Texas to prayerfully consider how you can step into this gap.

The CLC Hunger & Care team is standing by and ready to help connect you with a local feeding ministry in your area. Send us a message to find out about food programs in your area.

Every child is made in the image of God, and no child should spend their summer wondering when they'll eat next.

What questions are pastors wrestling with right now?

“How do I keep from becoming weary in ministry?”
“How do I lead when my church feels stagnant?”
“How do I balance family, faith and leadership responsibilities?”
“How do I delegate when there is so much to do?”

These are not theoretical questions, they are real ministry challenges pastors face every week.

Drawing from a leadership panel at the 2026 African American Leadership Conference, we compiled 15 church leadership questions pastors are asking today with practical, biblical guidance for addressing them.

This is a resource pastors, church leaders and ministry teams will want to save and share.
