Yesterday we rejoiced as four of our young people were confirmed at Saint William Laud Episcopal Church.

Bishop Fraser Lawton joined us on behalf of the Diocese of Dallas, laying hands upon each candidate and praying for the strengthening gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We give thanks for those that supported and prayed for these confirmands. We also give thanks for the faith, courage, and commitment they have shown, and for the Spirit who continues to shape them into the likeness of Christ.

The spirit of the Lord shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. - Isaiah 11:2

What a great day in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas!

Today we give thanks for the amazing volunteers from St. Philip's Episcopal Church - Frisco, TX and St. Peter's Episcopal Church - McKinney who came to help with a workday here at St William Laud!

From grounds cleanup to taking down an old shed, their hands and hearts strengthened our mission and blessed our community.

We are so grateful for this beautiful example of churches supporting one another in Christ’s work.
