Last night, we both mourned Christ’s death and celebrated the prophecy that he fulfilled for us on the cross. ✝️

In Matthew 27:46, Jesus’ words in anguish point us to Psalm 22, a prophetic psalm that moves from despair to rejoicing as the Lord saves.

We hope to see you tomorrow as we celebrate the Lord’s rescue from the despair endured on the cross. ✨

✝️ Today, we remember the weight of our sin and the love Christ poured out for us on the cross. Friday is Good because of His resurrection, which has brought us eternal life.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5 📖

We’ll see you tonight for our Good Friday Service at 6:30 p.m. as we reflect together. Through Scripture, worship, and prayer, we will fix our eyes on Jesus who gave Himself to redeem us and anchor our hope in the promise that death is not final. 🙏

🏀 March Madness is here—and our annual 3x3 Basketball Tournament is right around the corner.

Grab your team and come hoop with us next Sunday. Whether you’re competitive or just playing for fun, everyone’s welcome. 🙌

This year, we’ll have two divisions:
• 1:45-3:00 PM (ages 11-14)
• 3:00-5:00 PM (ages 15+)

This Sunday, we honored Drue Phillips for his five years of faithful service as Worship Minister at DBC.

We are incredibly grateful for Drue, his wife Sandi, and their children Gavin, Maddox, and Annabelle. We are deeply thankful for their commitment and sacrifice over the years, including traveling an hour each Sunday to serve our church.

We wish them and those planting with them the very best as they step out in faith to launch Cross & Crown Church in Waxahachie.

Please join us in praying for their family and for their church plant—that it would be a bright light to the Waxahachie community and that God would powerfully work through them, just as He has here.

Drue, thank you for being a worship leader who points us to Jesus’ love on and off the stage. We know that you’ll bring that same love for Jesus, others, and denim to your new church!

Earlier this week, our Women’s Ministry enjoyed a wonderful evening of creativity, laughter, and fellowship. They even learned more about the humility we’ve been talking about on Sundays while working on the craft!
