The Lord laid on his heart to teach the word of God to bring forth change in lives of the people. While seeking God for direction of this particular ministry, He appointed his father the Late Senior Pastor Adell Williams as president, and his mother Co-Pastor Etta Williams as Vice-president. We believe that bringing change to these areas of the church will make the church stronger in the movement of God. Pastor Williams began to operate as God gave direction, in doing so many of the churches & people where blessed. God began to open doors for him to travel in and out the area from state to state working and pulling down strong holds that the enemy tried to create. In the year of 2004 the Lord began to move the ministry to another level. Members begin to join the outreach ministry team, propelling Divine Purpose Ministry into what you see today, an official Church signed by the hand of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and delivered to you today, in great expectation of winning souls for Christ. The first service was in the city of Rockwall, Texas January 17, 2010 @ 11am. Held at the LaQuinta Hotel off Interstate 30, the service open with prayer by Evangelist Williams, first song Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; spoken word was “It’s Time for Purpose.” After many months of travel to and from different cities, the Lord touched Pastor Williams and shifted him back to the city of Greenville. Our new location is now at 3009 Lee St, Greenville, Texas; on July 11, 2010 was the first service and the Lord added to the church one new member. Since that day the church has grown to a 25 plus, we are a church that’s chasing after God. In January God lead Pastor Williams to relocate the Church, where we are now join in service with the Friendship Baptist Church at 3907 Lee St, Greenville, Texas. As Divine Purpose Ministry, Inc., grow we are expecting greatness! God has added 12 sons, and daughter to this ministry that are all over the United States. One Daughter Church in the city of Homer, La; Word of Life Christian Outreach were Pastor Betty Archies-Tipps, with many associate churches under watch care. As 2011 comes to a close, only God knows what is to unfold, Look out for what is to come in our city, a place to find the word of God only.
