This student is practicing improvisation on our Colby Organ. The music he is playing isn't written, nor will it likely ever be written. He is spontaneously creating these melodies, harmonies, and rhythms, in this case, in an early 20th-century French style. Not bad for a high schooler!

The Vatican’s sacred music school is seeking to teach Catholics worldwide how to sing ancient Gregorian chant as a means to help the faithful participate actively in the liturgy, including in papal Masses.
