The women of Philadelphia gathered on Sunday February15th for crafts and food and fellowship. We hope to continue this journey with our women in the future.
Be on the lookout for future opportunities to participate in our congregation.

We are grateful for all the people who have donated financial resources, furniture, household items, groceries, time and more to help J & A and their children move into their new home in our community. There are a few bigger ticket items as well as lots of smaller ticket items on a master list that Kelly Mulhall and Pebbles Cloninger have access to; please contact either of them on FB or by phone to help. Additionally, a local business has sponsored the children for Christmas through Dallas Christian Ministry.

Some items needed that you could add to your grocery list in the next few days are: aluminum foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, plastic bags (all sizes), laundry detergent, dryer sheets, garbage bags (black bags, kitchen bags, etc.), paper plates, paper bowls, plastic utensils, food items, kid friendly snacks, men’s body wash, kid’s body wash, baby bath, shampoo for kids and men, parchment paper, and kitchen spices.

They also need two large outdoor garbage cans.

Loving our neighbors this December looks like new friends (family of 7) finding a house, getting the power turned on, getting some furniture moved, sleeping in donated beds, and having spaghetti, garlic bread, lemonade and cookies for dinner—making a house a home.

But there’s still more they need: a twin bed or two, new full size bedding for some sweet little girls, area rugs, laundry baskets, clothes (sizes in comments), end tables/nightstands, table for tv, 2-3 more kitchen chairs, a high chair, anything for baby (6 months), just about anything a family would need/want.

If you took a “star” from church, please try to purchase those items and get them to the church by Sunday morning. (pillows, towels, kitchen stuff, dishes, silverware, etc.)

With joy and thanksgiving and the support of our church family, we are excited to share that J & A and their 5 children spent last night in their new home in the Dallas community after an extended period of being without a permanent spot to call home. Some of you took “stars” last Sunday with items they could use asap. Additionally, they could use many other basic household supplies, groceries, a twin bed or two, a crib and high chair, end tables/night stands, two chairs for their kitchen table, 2 shower curtains, groceries, bedding (right now they have 2 full size beds), along with your continued love and prayers. If you are able to help or could get your “star” items to them before Sunday that would be great. You can contact Kelly Mulhall or Jan or Pebbles to help.

We will begin with a potluck supper (bring a dish to share) and then we will explore creativity as an act of worship with a show and tell by some of the creatives in our congregation and some fun activities for all ages. Join us for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship on the first Sunday of the Advent season.
