Hebrews 4

How do we live in God's rest?

Computers need rest, vehicles need rest, and our bodies need rest.

Yet with all the demands, worries, and distractions of this world, finding true rest can be difficult.

The good news is that God offers His rest every day and never turns us away.

He is always ready to spend time with us, strengthen us, and help carry our burdens.

Today, make time to rest with God, even if it begins with just 5–10 minutes set aside for Him.

In His presence, you may find the peace and rest your soul has been longing for.

Psalm 15

David asks a question: “Lord, who may dwell in Your tent? Who may live on Your holy mountain?”

Today, we can ask ourselves that same question: “Lord, who can live with You?”

God gives us grace each day to walk in righteousness by humbling ourselves before Him, loving our neighbors, and submitting to His will.

Psalm 15 reminds us that living with God is not just about what we say, but how we live, how we treat others, and how we honor Him daily.

Today, by your actions and the way you live, are you showing that you truly desire to dwell with God?

Deeper Bible Study

I want to share something I learned to help you with your Bible study.

1. Find the trouble in the text.

What sin, problem, difficulty, or brokenness is being addressed?

2). Trouble in the world

Bridge the gap of how that same thing is happening now.

3). God's Grace in the text

How does this point to God's saving work:

*Suffering to save
*Delivering through a representative
*forgiveness while dying
*Restoration
What action is God taking and how do you see Jesus in the same action?

4.God's Action in the World (so, what?)

How do we the church join God in this work?

How do the ways of God, become our response in prayer?

How does this become our challenge and experience with God?

Acts 7:55-60

In many ways, this story looks like Jesus standing before the Pharisees and the crowd that rejected Him.

One powerful part of this passage is that Stephen looks into heaven and sees Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

This is a symbol of Jesus welcoming Stephen for staying faithful, even in suffering.

While people were throwing stones at him, Stephen still prayed for God to forgive them, the same forgiveness Jesus showed on the cross.

Sometimes following Christ means standing alone, but we are not alone.

Will you stand for Christ and show forgiveness, even when others stand against you?

James 1:2-4 MSG
[2-4] Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.

Don't take the prayer of Jabez lightly. When you ask God to increase your territory, be ready for the trials and challenges that come with it.

People pray, challenges get tough, then they quit.

How about, pray, challenge comes, push through, get your increase..

Increase comes with a price, if it was free everyone would instantly increase!

I always wondered why Jesus got baptized. I was reading some content this morning and the author explained it like this:

Jesus' baptism in the Jordan is the moment when the incarnation becomes visible.
God, who once moved over the waters of chaos, now enters the waters of human life.
Here, baptism takes on a new dimension—it is not only a sign of purification but also a sign of God's solidarity with humanity.

As I read the story of Philemon and Onesimus, I see a reflection of the Prodigal Son and our own relationship with God. Onesimus, like the prodigal, has gone astray and must return.

Philemon has every right to hold his offense against him. But Paul steps in and stands in the gap.

Paul says, “Receive him as you would receive me,” and “If he owes you anything, charge it to my account.” In this moment, Paul becomes a picture of Christ—interceding, covering the debt, and pleading for reconciliation.

This letter is a beautiful reminder that Christ stands between us and the Father, not to block us, but to bring us back—advocating for forgiveness, restoration, and acceptance.

Benediction

The benediction isn’t the end—it’s the sending. The same Spirit who met you here now goes with you into your home, your job, your neighborhood, and your community.

Remember the charge of Christ: go into the world and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

So go as the church—not confined to a building, but living and active. Carry this worship into the lives of others: to those who need a Savior, to those who rejoice, to those who are weary, and to those in need.

Go in grace, go in love, and go in the power of Christ. Amen.

John 2:13–17

When Jesus enters the temple and sees it filled with distractions—people focused on money instead of worship—He drives those things out.

Jesus is the true and perfect temple, and through Him, we become the church—the dwelling place of God.

Just like He cleansed the temple, we need Jesus to cleanse our hearts. Sometimes we allow things in—money, worries, distractions—that take priority over our relationship with God.

We are the church! We need to make room for what matters most: a genuine relationship with God.

New Wine at the Right Time
John 2:1–10

Even though it wasn’t yet time for Jesus to fully begin His ministry, He still stepped in and created new wine. In doing so, He saved the groom and his family from public humiliation—and then offered the best wine for everyone to taste and see.

In the same way, Jesus is often working behind the scenes in our lives, creating something new within us. And when the time is right—when the “wine” is ready—He puts us on display, not for our glory, but as a testimony of His goodness.

What feels like delay is often preparation.
What feels like God forgot is God getting you ready.

Trust His timing. Real wine gets better with time.
