Sometimes, the hurt caused by others creates a distance that words cannot bridge. When someone has wronged you, it’s not always possible for them to simply return to the way things were. Just as the Bible teaches us in Proverbs 22:24-25, 'Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.' Healing takes time, and until trust is restored, silence can be a necessary boundary.

Even consider Matthew 18:15, which outlines the importance of addressing wrongs directly: "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone." Until that step is taken, communication may feel unproductive or even harmful.

Remember, the act of forgiveness does not always mean reconciliation; it may simply mean choosing to let go for your own peace, as stated in Colossians 3:13: "Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive." This journey is personal, and sometimes silence speaks louder than words.

Let us embrace divine discipline, recognizing its purpose, humbling ourselves before God's correction, and learning from our mistakes. As we cultivate perseverance and endurance, God will restore and renew us, shaping us into vessels that bring glory to His name. Remember, His discipline is an expression of His love. So, let us trust in His guidance, knowing that He is working all things together for our good. Amen.
