We had such an amazing Mom’s Lunch today!! My goodness! Each lunch outdoes the last one. We love how the conversations swing from serious to silly to helpful to fun! But the encouragement is real! What a blessing it is to spend time with these women. 🥰🤗

If you know a mom who has a child with special needs, please take a moment to pause and tell her what a GREAT job she’s doing!! No one knows what is happening underneath their smiles. They seem “okay,” don’t they? And they are, mostly. But many times underneath that happy and confident facade, is a whole lot of trauma, stress, insecurity and grief. 💔 If you know, you know.

It is such an honor for R4 to raise these women up in such a simple but profound way by just sharing lunch together! 🥗🥙🌯🍔 It’s incredibly powerful!

Yesterday felt like something straight from God’s heart. 💚
We celebrated our 3rd Annual Friendsgiving Retreat and our 10th Anniversary all in one beautiful, joy-soaked day. It was everything you’d expect from an R[4] day — big smiles, surprises, energy, a few twists and turns, plans that changed more than once, and a whole lot of grace as we simply flowed with whatever came our way.

But the way the evening ended… that’s the part that will stay with us forever.
Our celebration service, followed by a shared Friendsgiving meal, felt sacred — like we were standing on holy ground. As families and volunteers got up to share what R[4] has meant to them, the room filled with gratitude, laughter, and more than a few tears (mostly mine). Every story, every song, every moment of worship was a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness. The entire service was simply unforgettable in every way.

We wanted you to experience a piece of it too — so we’re sharing our celebration video. We hope it fills your heart the way it filled ours, reminding you of what God has been building through this ministry for the past 10 years.

To our volunteers… there are truly no words. You are the heartbeat of R[4]. You show up, pour out, love deeply, and serve with joy. Watching you in motion is one of the greatest blessings we know.

And to our donors who make every single retreat, meal, moment, and memory possible — thank you. Your generosity and sacrifice echo through every story we heard yesterday. We are forever grateful for you.

And now all those kids are teenagers and young adults. That’s soooo crazy. But like we said yesterday, many of the smiles seen on this video are still woven deeply into the fabric of who R4 is now. ✨ Memory Lane: 2018 — “Summer’s Coming” Mini Retreat ☀️💚

What a day to remember! This was our first full camp-style retreat at Sabine Creek Ranch, and it was pure joy from start to finish. We welcomed 12 amazing families and 45 incredible volunteers who filled the day with laughter, smiles, and unforgettable moments.

The best part? Watching parents and caregivers sit in the quiet of God’s creation — taking a deep breath and simply resting. 🌿 That moment alone was priceless.

Many of the families who joined us that day are still part of R[4] today — attending retreats, volunteering, and helping others experience the same peace they once received. This retreat became a beautiful catalyst for countless connections, friendships, and stories of restoration that continue to ripple through our ministry. 💫
