The idea behind NightFever is to open a church (Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe) and invite people off the streets and into the church, to provide an environment were people can encounter God. This will include a candle lit sanctuary, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Sacrament of Reconciliation (priests/religious will also be available just to talk with people), prayer teams, and peacefu
l music playing in the background. For many visitors this may be their first time in a Catholic church. The mission is reach those who have never been to church, or who have been away for some time, and to accompany them into the presence of God. The founders of NightFever were inspired at World Youth Day in Germany in 2005, and it has since taken place in over 200 countries!
