Holy Eucharist at 10:00am. Oak Cliff is always changing. Waves of demographic shifts over the decades have created a mashup of cultures, flavors, and life that makes it the most unique neighborhood in Dallas. So too with our church:

in 2014 three churches with deep roots in this community decided that they could serve the neighborhood better together than separately, so they formed St. Augustine's — a diverse, liturgical church with deep roots in the community of Oak Cliff and in the ancient faith of the church.

Whether you’re new to the church or have been confirmed for decades, all are welcome for this exploration of the Christian faith as lived out in the Anglican/Episcopal tradition. Monday evenings, 6:00-7:30pm in the Parish Hall, beginning September 14 and going through early December. The class is intended for those interested in Confirmation, or anyone interested in going deeper in their faith. Childcare will be provided. Contact Fr. Sunday, August 30th will be a big day for us! In our worship, we will celebrate the Feast of Augustine of Hippo (our saintly namesake), and we’ll have The Rev. Canon Victor Lee Ausutin as our guest preacher. Then following the service, we will have a reception and Ministry Fair in the Parish Hall to celebrate and highlight the ways God is working in and through us as a church family. This will be an opportunity to learn more about all the ministries here at St. Augustine’s and to explore how you might get more involved. Join us for this launch into the Fall program year as we give thanks for all that God is doing in and among us! A sign-up sheet is available on the Narthex doors for anyone willing to bring refreshments and/or volunteer!

There will be no Community Meal in August. However, we are set to return in September, with a new schedule! The meal will move to the 4th Saturday of each month from 12-1pm, starting September 26th. The ministry will also be under new leadership. So volunteers, be on the lookout for details from Mark Stewart, or email him at [email protected] to get involved.

Now through August 9th, the Daughters of the King are collecting school supplies for Barbara Jordan Elementary! Donation boxes are located in the living room by the glass doors. If you would like to contribute, please consider purchasing No. 2 pencils, folders, crayons, composition books, loose leaf paper, construction paper, clear backpacks, as well as other basic school supplies.
