Dear Holy Cross Parish Family,
With hearts full of gratitude and faith, I share with you that Bishop Edward J. Burns has appointed me to a new pastoral assignment at Immaculate Conception Parish in Grand Prairie, effective July 1, 2026. After six blessed years of serving since my ordination in May 2020, and as Pastor since 2023, it is with both joy and sadness that I prepare for this transition.
Serving the Holy Cross and St Anthony community has been one of the greatest privileges of my priesthood. Together, we celebrated the sacraments, grown in faith, and built a parish family rooted in love, service, and hope. The memories, friendships, and faith we have shared will always remain close to my heart.
At the same time, it is a blessing to welcome Fr. Martin Moreno, who will become the new Pastor of Holy Cross and St Anthony, also effective July 1.
Fr. Martin is a devoted priest with a deep love for the Church and her people. I am confident that you will extend to him the same warmth, support, and prayerful encouragement that you have so generously shown me throughout my ministry here.
Transitions are never easy, but they are moments of grace—opportunities to trust in God’s providence and to continue building His Kingdom together. Please keep me in your prayers as I begin this new chapter.
May the Lord bless you abundantly and keep our parish family always united in faith and love.

Querida familia de Holy Cross,
Con el corazón lleno de gratitud y fe, comparto con ustedes que el obispo Edward J. Burns me ha nombrado para un nuevo cargo pastoral en la Parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción en Grand Prairie, con efecto a partir del 1 de julio de 2026. Después de seis bendecidos años de servicio desde mi ordenación en mayo de 2020, y como pastor desde 2023, es con alegría y tristeza que me preparo para esta transición.
Servir a la comunidad de Holy Cross y San Anthony ha sido uno de los mayores privilegios de mi sacerdocio. Juntos celebramos los sacramentos, crecimos en la fe y formamos una familia parroquial arraigada en el amor, el servicio y la esperanza. Los recuerdos, amistades y la fe que hemos compartido siempre estarán cerca de mi corazón.
Al mismo tiempo, es una bendición dar la bienvenida al padre Martin Moreno, quien se convertirá en el nuevo párroco de Holy Cross and San Anthony, también con efecto a partir del 1 de julio.
El padre Martin es un sacerdote devoto con un profundo amor por la Iglesia y su pueblo. Confío en que le extenderán el mismo calor, apoyo y ánimo en oración que tan generosamente me han mostrado a lo largo de mi ministerio aquí.
Las transiciones nunca son fáciles, pero son momentos de gracia: oportunidades para confiar en la providencia de Dios y seguir construyendo juntos su Reino. Por favor, manténganme en sus oraciones mientras comienzo este nuevo capítulo.
Que el Señor los bendiga abundantemente y mantenga a nuestra familia parroquial siempre unida en la fe y el amor.
