For more than 3 months – November, December, January, and now into February – President Donald J. Trump has denied that he lost the 2020 Presidential Election. He has gone to the Courts to fight it, he has lambasted companies that created the voting machines, he has accused persons (quite often in Black areas of large cities) of voting fraud without proof … and he has refused to say, “I lost.”

UPDATED FUNERAL INFORMATION – A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, at 1:00 P.M., at the Metropolitan CME Church, 8955 South Freeway, Houston, Texas. The Rev. Allen Page, III, is pastor. Because of COVID-19 controls, the congregation for the service is limited to 100 persons.
Persons planning to attend the service should call Ardyth Guyer of Metropolitan CME Church at 713-409-2508. At the present time, we must get a final number of family before we can agree to the persons who want to be admitted; therefore, Ardyth Guyer is receiving your name and noting your order in line. There is very limited space for seating outside of the family.

I had not voted for him but believed then and now that it is right for Christians in our country to pray for and lift up our leaders. BISHOP RONALD M. CUNNINGHAM PASSES JUNE 2, 2020
I regret to inform you that Bishop Ronald McKinley Cunningham, the 53rd Bishop of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, died this morning, June 2, 2020. Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as available; Black and Clark Funeral Home (2517 E. Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75216; 214-376-8297) is in charge of arrangements.

Bishop Cunningham was elected bishop in 2002 in Atlanta, Georgia, and retired in 2010 in Mobile, Alabama. He served the Tenth and Eighth Episcopal Districts before retiring. Then, In March 2011, he was recalled to serve the Eleventh Episcopal District until the 2014 General Conference.
Prior to his election, he had served 16 years as General Secretary of the Department of Christian Education, and had been professor at Lane College and pastor of several congregations.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. (“Lady”) Clarice Cunningham; a daughter, Ms. Bridgette Cunningham; and a son, Ronald M. Cunningham, Jr.
