What if the confusion in our lives isn't judgment, but mercy?
This Sunday we explored the Tower of Babel from Genesis 11:1-9 – a story less about language and more about what happens when we confuse unity with control. When fear drives us to build monuments to ourselves, God lovingly intervenes to protect us from the tyranny of sameness.
The scatterings we resist – the breakdowns, contradictions, and fragmentations – may actually be redemptive, leading us into a more human space. True wholeness isn't found in uniformity, but in harmony among diverse voices. What appears to be divine judgment is actually divine mercy, protecting us from entombing ourselves in false security.
