What if the most dangerous thing you can do in your faith is say yes and never move your feet?
In Matthew 21:28-32, Jesus tells a story of two sons. One says no but eventually goes to work. One says yes and never shows up. The father never asked for a yes. He asked for a vineyard full of work. And it turns out you can give a perfect answer while the vineyard waits for someone to actually do something.
This week at FUMC Dallas, Pastor Mitchell challenged us to examine the gap between our polished convictions and our actual participation. Being right about injustice, generosity, and hospitality has never once been the same thing as doing the work. Grace does not wait for your yes to be clean. It hands you a task worth doing and keeps the gate open.
The vineyard still needs laborers. Will you go do the work?
