The official theme for the 2026 Dallas Pride Festival and Parade is “Rainbows Don’t Wash Away.” The selection of this year’s theme serves as a direct response to a rising tide of challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community both in Texas and across the United States. From the physical removal of rainbow-painted crosswalks in local municipalities to broader legislative efforts to restrict transgender rights and omit LGBTQ+ narratives from history books, the message from Dallas Pride is clear: Our existence is not temporary, and our history is not erasable.

Greenland Hills will be marching with other UMC congregations in this year's parade in downtown Dallas. While this may come as a surprise to many, the planning has actually been in the works for several years because of the World Cup, which will already be in full swing. The City of Dallas is very excited to have the Pride Parade in downtown and is providing excellent support. This is a great time to get to know folks from other congregations who are committed to the same work for justice that we are.

The Youth Auction was an amazingly successful event last Sunday. It was so great to all be together enjoying the food and each other while supporting our youth. 
The youth made over $8,000, which we are so grateful for. We are extremely thankful to our church family-for coming to the auction, participating in the online auction, and just overall the way you love and support our youth. Thank you!!
